In an era where convenience, comfortability, choice, and self-satisfaction are common ingredients of American society, the Bible commands believers in Jesus Christ to go outside the camp of this world, outside the camp of our convenience, outside the camp of our comfortability, and outside the camp of the flesh in order to meet Jesus where he wants to us. Hebrews 13:12-13 says, "Just as Jesus suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood, let us then go to Him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore."
