"Yom Kippur"

  • Christian Way Ministries 549 Newtown Road Virginia Beach, VA, 23462 United States (map)

Wishing all of God's people a Happy Yom Kippur Day, which was also known as the Day of Atonement where the priest made a sacrifice with blood for not only his sin, but for the sin of Israel every year. In Leviticus 23:27-28 the Lord said to Moses, "The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present an offering made to the Lord by fire. Do no work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God."

And Jesus fulfills this Day of Atonement by becoming the perfect ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world, that whoever believes in Him will be forgiven for their sins. Hebrews 10:11 says, "Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest (Jesus Christ) had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God."

May the Lord be with you all, and please don't forget the sacrifice done once and for all on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. "For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." ~Hebrews 9:22~
