As you continue to get to know us, it is important that you know up front that Our Father’s Daycare is a non-profit religious tax-exempt organization that operates under the auspices of Christian Way Ministries, a non-denomination Christian church. Not only that, Our Father’s Daycare is registered with the Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS), is a qualified subsidy vendor, is officially recognized as a “breast-feeding” friendly center, and has 24/7 security cameras throughout the premises so the parents can be reassured of their child’s safety and well-being. This is not including the amazing child-care staff who have passed all the necessary background checks, have received all the necessary training to care for your child to include infant/adult CPR, and are passionate about ensuring our children are receiving wholistic care. These are just a few things parents should know as they consider future enrollment with us.

OUR-COVID-ALERT
Due to the extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 National Emergency that has befallen the entire country, there are no words to describe the affects these uncertain times may have caused you! Please know that the church is praying for everyone afflicted by this pandemic! Unfortunately, there are still many parents out there who are considered "essential personnel" who have to work under these hazardous conditions. The good news for those who still have to work in the local Virginia Beach area is that Our Father's Daycare is open from 6:00AM to 5:30PM to provide childcare services to parents in need, but with a few added precautions to ensure the health and safety of all of our children. If you have any questions regarding health and safety practices, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of the OFD staff for further clarification. May the Lord bless and protect all of God's people from this pestilence and from any evil that is trying to overcome them, in Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen!
Our Beginnings
On July 9th, 2018 Christian Way Ministries was blessed to open Our Father's Daycare (O.F.D.), a faith-based child care program that's centered on creating a safe Christian learning and nurturing environment affordable for children ranging from 0 - 5 years old @ 549 Newtown Road, Virginia Beach, VA. We are opened from Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00AM - 5:30PM and are beyond excited to extend this aspect of our ministry for parents who are in need of a Christian-based child-care program for their children in the local community. Our Father’s Daycare is intended for parents/guardians who desire to attain a strong Christian foundation for their children and agrees with the implementation of how O.F.D. will institute their faith-based program.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Here at O.F.D. we offer a safe and nurturing learning environment that will advance your child’s spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth, and provide them the opportunity to be interactive, creative, and well-rounded children of God that will reflect Christian morals and values. In addition, O.F.D. will foster the development of language, communication, and interactive skills in order to produce appropriate and effective child-based activities that will enhance learning.
Our Goal
Our ultimate goal at O.F.D. is to fulfill the command in Proverbs 22:6; “to train our children up in the ways of the Lord,” in order to grow them spiritually, educationally, and behaviorally into the children God created them to be!
Our Principles:
The Golden Rule; treat others as you want to be treated, Matthew 7:12.
The Greatest Commandment; love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, Matthew 22:37.
The Second Greatest Commandment; love your neighbor as yourself, Matthew 22:39.
The Ten Commandments (Moral Law) outlined in Exodus 20:1-7.
The 9 Fruits of the Spirit outlined in Galatians 5:22 which include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control.
The importance of being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, James 1:19.
A major emphasis on making good choices utilizing biblical examples to enhance learning.
The importance of praying without ceasing according to 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and emphasize the Lord’s Prayer outlined in Matthew 6:9-15.
And teaching your child the importance of being able to control their thoughts and their emotions, 2 Corinthians 10:5 & Romans 12:2.
The whole idea of a faith-based daycare program is to afford your child the opportunity to become more familiar with the Word of God, and to teach them moral behavior, along with all the other developmental learning requirements O.F.D. will instill in your child.
