Clothe Yourselves With Christ!!
As you go about your day today, remember to cloth yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ!! Paul said in Romans 13:14, to “clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and do not think about how to satisfy the desires of the flesh.” Remember, being a follower of Jesus and being a Christian requires a mindset of Christ. You can’t be a Christian while thinking about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. No! You have to live your days thinking about how to satisfy the desires of God. God desires your obedience, God desires your faithfulness, God desires your holiness, and God desires you to deny yourself, to deny your flesh, and to pick up your cross and follow his Son Jesus Christ! Those are God’s desires for you according to His Word! Paul also said in Colossians 3:12 to “clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Clothe yourselves with the nine fruits of the Spirit outlined in Galatians 5:22. Part of obeying God is clothing yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and putting off your old self with its desires and passions. As the old saying goes, “you can’t have your cake and eat it to.” Meaning, you can’t call yourself a Christian and satisfy the flesh at the same time. You can’t serve both God and money! You can’t take part of the Lord’s table, and the table of demons at the same time! Choose today whom you shall serve! How long are you going to waiver between two opinions? God desires a full relationship with you!! Deuteronomy 30:16 says, “For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws,” which are not burdensome. Don’t believe the lies of the devil that you can’t do it, because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! God wants people after His own heart, and those that search for Him with all of their heart will be found by God. You can’t search for God with all of your heart while you are pleasing the flesh and doing the things of the world and of Satan! It’s time to rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus Christ, and it’s time to keep in step with His Word and with His Holy Spirit. “Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is... his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Stay blessed saints! The time is now!!
